‘The Forum of Young Composers of Belarus and CIS countries, which takes place on the basis of our educational institution from 17 to 27 February, is attended by aspiring Belarusian authors, as well as representatives of such Russian cities as Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Moscow and others. Together with the masters who will work with young composers, the number of forum participants is more than 20 people. The event is being held for the 11th time in 2025, and its main goals are not only to identify young promising authors, but also to improve their professional competence,’ said college director Dmitry Rauba.
Educational lecture cycles, master-classes of leading composers and musicologists, practical classes on forming skills of young authors to work with a symphony orchestra in the process of writing musical compositions and symphony orchestra concert programmes are planned within the framework of the forum.
The forum will be followed by a concert, the programme of which includes symphonic works written by novice composers.
