In the fall of 2026, peacekeepers, chemists, and military medics from the CSTO will practice cooperation at training grounds in Belarus. Andrey Serdyukov, Chief of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, officially announced the holding of two key exercises, "Enduring Brotherhood" and "Barrier." He made this announcement during a briefing, as reported by the 24 Hours News program on the СTV channel.

According to the military commander, both exercises are scheduled for October 2026. Each exercise has its own unique mission: The "Enduring Brotherhood" exercise will traditionally focus on the use of peacekeeping forces and the implementation of peacekeeping tasks. On the other hand, the "Barrier" exercise will serve as a platform for joint training of radiation, chemical, and biological defense forces, as well as military medical units.

Andrey Serdyukov, who heads the CSTO Joint Staff, emphasized that the high-quality preparation and implementation of joint military exercises are currently taking center stage. According to him, the priority task of the bloc is to effectively respond to the predicted challenges and threats to collective security. As a result, a busy schedule has already been approved for this year, with 60 joint and operational training events planned, including eight command-and-staff and special exercises.

At the same time, the overall situation in the CSTO area of responsibility, according to the Chief of Staff, is assessed as follows:
