Boris Eifman ballet theater to present EIFMAN GALA in Minsk

The St. Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theater of Boris Eifman will show a unique two-act concert program, titled EIFMAN GALA, at the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus on 8 and 9 September, BelTA learned from the theater.

Audiences will have the exclusive opportunity to see, in a single evening, selected pieces from the legendary choreographer's internationally renowned productions: Anna Karenina, Rodin, Her Eternal Idol, Beyond Sin, Tchaikovsky. PRO et CONTRA, Russian Hamlet, Passions Moliere Passion, or The Mask of Don Juan and The Seagull. A Ballet Story. The expertly crafted dramatic structure of the concert will allow dance enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the vivid story of the theatre’s artistic evolution and its rise to the status of one of the leading ballet companies of our time.

The company presents this program with unflagging triumph on the main stages of St. Petersburg, Moscow, other Russian cities, and abroad.

The renowned St. Petersburg company brought to Minsk in the 2010s the ballets Anna Karenina set to music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and The Seagull to music by Sergei Rachmaninoff and Alexander Scriabin. In 2013, the Belarusian audiences saw Boris Eifman's new choreographic interpretation of Dostoevsky’s The Brothers Karamazov. The Minsk stage has also hosted the productions of Rodin, Red Giselle, The Pygmalion Effect, Eugene Onegin, The Seagull. A Ballet Story, Musagète, My Jerusalem, Crime and Punishment, and Anna Karenina.
