Russia’s largest Belarusian Village opens in Arkhangelsk

The Belarusian Village multi-brand space selling Belarusian goods opened in the center of the Russian city of Arkhangelsk on 14 August. It is now the largest of its kind in Russia, the press service of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia told BelTA.

Products from more than 30 Belarusian manufacturers are presented in Belarusian Village in Arkhangelsk. More than 1,000 titles of sweets, cheeses, meat delicacies, dairy products are available for purchase.
Governor of Arkhangelsk Oblast Alexander Tsybulsky and Consul General of Belarus in St. Petersburg Nikolai Rogozhnik took part in the opening of the retail outlet.
“This is a very good idea. People need to learn about the store, and then they will demonstrate with their purchases whether they like Belarusian products or not. I have no doubt that they will like them. Good, high-quality, organic products,” Alexander Tsybulsky stated.
He emphasized that relations between this Russian region and Belarus have long gone beyond individual trade shipments. “They rely on cooperation in economy, manufacturing sector, science, and culture. It is important that today this interaction receives a very concrete continuation: high-quality Belarusian products become even more accessible to residents of the region while direct ties between manufacturers and entrepreneurs create new opportunities for business,” the governor noted.
The project, which brought together many Belarusian manufacturers, is implemented by OOO Minsk Dairy Plant No.1. Nine more Belarusian Village spaces operate in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
