Minsk to host Union State government meeting in October

Minsk will host a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State of Belarus and Russia on 1 October, BelTA learned from the Permanent Committee of the Union State.

"At a meeting the Permanent Committee discussed the preparations for the upcoming session of the Council of Ministers of the Union State due in Minsk on 1 October and for the meeting of the High-Level Group of the Council of Ministers of the Union State. Attention was focused on the need to strictly adhere to the timelines for submitting the draft resolutions and accompanying findings,” the Permanent Committee stated.
Discussions also addressed the improvement of the Permanent Committee's activities, with efforts planned to be concentrated on enhancing executive discipline regarding assignments given by the Union State bodies and the state secretary of the Union State.
