Putin: Belarus' membership in SCO will strengthen organization

Belarus' full-scale membership in the SCO will strengthen the organization, Russia President Vladimir Putin said as he addressed a meeting of the SCO Heads of State Council in Samarkand on 16 September, BelTA has learned.

"We have always supported the full-scale participation in the SCO of Belarus who is a strategic partner and ally of Russia," Vladimir Putin stressed.

According to him, Belarus' membership in the SCO will strengthen cooperation in politics, economy, security and humanitarian sectors.
