Decision of Belarus' constitutional referendum comes into force

The Decision of the Belarusian national constitutional referendum took effect on 15 March, BelTA learned from the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus.

The national referendum on amendments and additions to the Constitution of Belarus was held on 27 February. It was a true constitutional and legal form of exercising the power of the people, stressed the CEC.
According to the CEC, a total of 4,440.813 citizens voted for the amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, which made up 82.86% of the total number of the people who took part in the vote.
