Belarusian PM to visit Russia's Ufa, Kazan on 20-22 September

Today cooperation with Russia is of particular importance for Belarus in terms of increasing and directing exports flows, Belarusian the Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said, BelTA has learned.

A government delegation headed by the prime minister will visit Ufa and Kazan on 20-22 September. The program of the visit is full of business meetings and substantive talks at enterprises, the press service of the government noted.

"Cooperation with Russia is of particular importance for us mainly from the point of view of increasing Belarusian export and redirecting it to the Russian market. We are working with the Russian regions as planned. At the end of last year, the head of Bashkortostan visited Belarus. The Belarusian delegation visited Tatarstan. We need to maintain this momentum, regularly monitor the implementation of the agreements and look for new niches for cooperation," said Roman Golovchenko.

"The goal is clear: to strike new agreements to increase exports of Belarusian goods to these regions and to boost imports from Bashkortostan and Tatarstan of what we need to ensure the sustainable operation of our industry," the prime minister added and stressed the maximum practical focus of all meetings and negotiations.
