Plans to test drive Belarusian e-buses in Rostov-on-Don

Head of the Rostov-on-Don Office of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia Vladimir Neronsky put forward an idea to test drive an electric bus produced by the Belarusian enterprise Belkommunmash at a traditional meeting of the government of Rostov Oblast and the city of Rostov-on-Don with the diplomatic corps, BelTA learned from the press service of the diplomatic mission.

“Vladimir Neronsky said that the Belkommunmash enterprise is one of the leading manufacturers of above-ground electric public transport in the territory of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The head of the office said that this Belarusian enterprise was the first in the CIS to start producing electric buses. They have already passed the tests in Uzbekistan. Belkommunmash also produced a special right-hand drive electric bus that successfully passed the tests in London. Head of the Rostov-on-Don Administration Aleksei Logvinenko supported the proposal and assured the Belarusian side that the possibility of carrying out test runs of a Belarusian electric bus will be thoroughly explored in the nearest future,” noted the diplomatic mission.
The meeting was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rostov Oblast. Taking part in the meeting were Deputy Governor of Rostov Oblast Aleksei Izotov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Rostov Oblast Aleksandr Shaposhnikov, Deputy Head of the Rostov-on-Don Administration Svetlana Kambulova and President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rostov Oblast Nikolai Prisyazhnyuk.
