Belarus has increased the transit of potash fertilizers through Russia by 15%. We are talking about data for 9 months of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023.

The total volume amounted to almost 9 million tons. Most of it is transported through the ports of the Baltic Sea. The cargo mainly traveled this way to Brazil. About 3.5 million tons of fertilizers were shipped to China. As a result, our country became the second in the list of the largest suppliers in this position to China. Earlier, Belarus exported potassium through the port of Klaipeda in Lithuania. However, due to EU sanctions, logistics chains had to be rebuilt. As a result, the entire volume now passes through the territory of Russia.
