Work on draft Eurasian integration strategy through 2025 enters homestretch

The drafting of the Eurasian economic integration strategy through 2025 has been almost complete, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Mikhail Myasnikovich said at a video conference meeting of the Advisory Council of the Chambers of the EAEU member states hosted by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 17 April.

“Despite the ongoing pandemic, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is looking ahead. The business community has been involved in the drafting of the Eurasian economic integration strategy through 2025. The coordination of the document is almost complete,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said.

According to the chairman of the EEC Board, the draft document will be reviewed at the Intergovernmental Council on 23 April 2020. The document will be considered at the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council featuring the heads of state on 19 May. “The Belarusian president has invited all heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Union to Minsk on 19 May. All necessary conditions will be created for this,” Mikhail Myasnikovich added.
