Lukashenko to hold talks with Sultan of Oman in Minsk

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko will hold talks with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman on 6 October who will be making an official visit to the Republic of Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The leaders are scheduled to  review the implementation of the agreements reached in December 2024 during the Belarusian president's visit to Oman and to discuss promising areas and ways to deepen cooperation in various fields. The main emphasis will be places on enhancing trade and economic cooperation.

Following the negotiations, the parties are set to sign a number of international documents.

In turn, the Omani side has announced that the visit will take place on 6-7 October and is being conducted within the context of developing relations between Oman and Belarus and expanding their horizons in line with the aspirations of both countries. “The visit will focus on the areas of cooperation between the two countries in various fields and ways to enhance it for the sake of mutual interests. The leaders of the two countries are expected to exchange views on a number of current regional and international issues. His Majesty the Sultan will be accompanied by a high-level official delegation during the visit,” the Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
