16:33, 17 November

A Belarusian government delegation led by Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin has departed for Moscow on a working visit, BelTA learned from the press service of the government.

On 18 November, the prime minister will take part in a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
The meeting will traditionally be held in both narrow and expanded formats.

Belarus had been working towards joining the Shanghai Cooperation Organization for many years: it participated in the SCO as a dialogue partner since 2010, and as an observer since 2015. In July 2024, Belarus became a full member of the organization.
