2nd session of 7th Belarusian People’s Congress to take place in Minsk on 18-19 December

The campaign to prepare the second session of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress has been officially launched. By order of Chairman of the Belarusian People’s Congress Aleksandr Lukashenko the session will take place in Minsk on 18-19 December 2025, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.

For the first time a session of the supreme representative body of the people’s power will be convened by the order of the chairman of the Belarusian People’s Congress. The first session of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress took place on 24-25 April 2024 and was convened by the Central Election Commission in accordance with the legislation.

The committee in charge of organizing and holding sessions of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress was created in February 2025. It is headed by the prime minister of Belarus and includes a number of top-ranking government officials, heads of ministries, heads of oblast administrations and the Minsk city administration as well as representatives of other government agencies.
