Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko proposed to open the Belarusian trading house in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast as he met with Governor of Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Gleb Nikitin on 9 December, BelTA has learned.

"It would be nice to have a trading house to sell Belarusian products in your region. I think that we need to create a trading house to sell not only food products, but also industrial goods. We need to sell consumer goods for people: clothes, footwear, refrigerators, freezers, TV sets. Everything that Nizhny Novgorod Oblast needs. Such an integrated-service trading house," the head of state said.

Nizhny Novgorod together with the Belarusian partners has already chosen a facility for such a trading house, and the Belarusian side needs only to make the final decision, Gleb Nikitin told the media following the meeting with the head of state. "We are extremely interested in it. It should be a modern center worthy of our cooperation and Belarusian manufacturers," the governor stressed.
