Lazouski skis to sprint victory at Russian Biathlon Championships

 Belarus’ Dzmitry Lazouski won the 10km Men’s Sprint at the Russian Biathlon Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk on 26 March, BelTA has learned.

The event featured 107 biathletes, including nine representatives of Belarus. Dzmitry Lazouski cleaned prone and got one penalty standing. Following the second shooting stage the Belarusian was second behind Karim Khalili from Moscow. At the final lap Dzmitry Lazouski sped up and secured a 4-second advantage over his opponent at the finish line. Aleksandr Kornev from Udmurtia came in third, five seconds behind the winner.

Clean-shooting Pavel Belko of Belarus finished seventh. Leader of the Belarusian national team Anton Smolski, the winner of the Best Athletes Cup, finished 14th with four penalties. Mikita Labastau was 29th, Ivan Tulatin – 32nd, Maksim Varabei – 35th, Ilya Auseyenka – 43rd, Stsiapan Danilau – 57th, Hleb Arlouski – 85th.
