Belarus hosts over 110,000 visa-waiver travelers from Europe since 1 Jan 2026, BELTA has learned.

Since 1 January 2026, Belarus has welcomed 110,320 travelers from 38 countries included in the visa-waiver program. The majority of travelers came from Lithuania, Latvia and Poland, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.  

A total of 1,368,489 European residents have visited Belarus since 15 April 2022 when the visa waiver program was launched for Lithuanian and Latvian citizens, alongside Latvian non-citizen status holders, and expanded to Polish citizens on 1 July 2022. Belarus has welcomed 702,762 visitors from Lithuania, 437,140 people from Latvia and 152,073 visitors from Poland. On 19 July 2024 the visa-waiver program was extended to include 35 more countries. A total of 76,514 citizens of these countries have visited Belarus.

The visa-waiver program for citizens of 38 European countries has been extended until 31 December 2026. Detailed information about the visa waiver is available in the special section on the website of the State Border Committee and the Border of Belarus app.
