“We have a history of cooperation with Belarus, we have already implemented several joint projects. For example, a BelAZ maintenance center was built. We allocated funds to build infrastructure for this project using subsidies of the Russian government, and BELAZ invested in the construction of the center itself. The project is very successful, the maintenance center operates at capacity, and we have decided to move on to the second stage using the same scheme. Now the task is to implement it as quickly as possible, because the demand is huge. Our coal companies regularly buy BelAZ trucks,” Sergei Tsivilev said.
The Belarusian delegation headed by the industry minister is now in Kemerovo Oblast. “The creation of a multi-brand service center in Kuzbass is under consideration. Such a center could sell and provide maintenance services for road machinery and agricultural equipment of several brands. The region needs such equipment. Kuzbass, and Siberia as a whole, is developing rapidly. We used to cooperate with Europe, but many types of equipment have become unavailable for us and we needed to find alternative suppliers. Therefore, the arrival of Belarusian brands at our market came just in handy,” the governor said.
“I am here not only in the capacity of the Kuzbass governor, but also in the capacity of the head of the Siberian Agreement. The territories included in the Siberian Federal District have common goals and a single program, a single development strategy until 2035, which is in the works now. All participants in the Siberian Agreement are interested in cooperation with Belarus. I think the potential is simply huge,” Sergei Tsivilev stressed.
