Belarus' vice premier outlines cooperation areas with Russia's Stavropol Territory

Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik outlined cooperation areas as he met with Governor of Russia's Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov on 8 November, BelTA has learned.

“Much attention is paid to regional cooperation at the level of the president and the government of Belarus. It is the driver of relations with the Russian Federation, a solid foundation that helps solving complex current issues arising from the actions of unfriendly countries. Thanks to the interaction between Belarus and Stavropol Territory, we have already achieved results, and trade growth is encouraging,” Piotr Parkhomchik said.
The delegation of the Russian region is on a tour around the industrial enterprises of Belarus, getting familiar with the country's opportunities. “The demand for the products of our industrial enterprises is stable, including passenger vehicles produced by Belkommunmash and Minsk Automobile Plant. We offer a wide range of vehicles – running on internal combustion engine, liquefied gas, and also electric buses, battery-assisted trolleybuses. All this has already been tested in Belarus,” the deputy prime minister said.
Cooperation in the agricultural machinery industry is also relevant. “The products are widely known, you use them everywhere. All requests can be fulfilled in the shortest possible time,” Piotr Parkhomchik said.
“As for after-sale service, component parts, we are setting up centers that will represent the interests of not only a particular plant. Such a platform will offer all the products made in Belarus,” the deputy prime minister added.
In agriculture, Belarus has many points of contact with Stavropol Territory, including a promising exchange of experience. “Culture, sports, tourism - all these areas are of interest to us,” Piotr Parkhomchik said.
According to the governor, Stavropol Territory attaches great importance to the issues of breeding and seed production and the development of cooperation in this area. The region is also interested in fish feed.
In his words, a large amount of Belarusian agricultural machinery is used in Stavropol Territory. The region is also interested in Belarusian passenger vehicles, including trolleybuses and trams.
