PHOTOfact: The Union State Day at the children’s rehabilitation and health improvement centre “Zhemchuzhina”

The children’s camp “Zhemchuzhina”, located in an ecologically clean area of the Vitebsk region, not far from the district centre of Lepel, on the shore of the picturesque Lake Shchibot, has been one of the permanent implementers of events to organise sanatorium‑resort treatment and health improvement for children from the regions of Belarus and Russia affected by the Chernobyl disaster and other man‑made disasters for 24 years.
The event is implemented by the Standing Committee of the Union State.

Today, one of the most vibrant and unifying events is taking place – the Union State Day at “Zhemchuzhina”. The program includes the solemn lineup “Unity of Our States” and a themed dialogue platform with the participation of honored guests, the opening of the local canteen after its renovation, beach football and giant kicker tournaments, friendship relay races, master classes in national dances and cuisine, and other unifying interactive activities.
