Belarusian army unit in Russian military training area Ashuluk for field exercise

The personnel have already set up camp. The camp features tents for living quarters, a field kitchen, a mess hall, a medical station, a recreation and information room, and a sport complex. In the coming days the service members will take delivery of equipment, prepare it for combat use, and pass the tests required for firing authorization.

BelTA reported earlier that an operational-tactical exercise involving Air Force and Air Defense Command units is being conducted from 25 August through 10 September under the leadership of Mikhail Matrosov, Deputy Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Command. During the first phase of the exercise formations and military units practiced providing air cover for protected facilities and troops against enemy strikes and conducted training maneuvers. The second phase is supposed to take place in the military training area Ashuluk.
