Belarus, Russia's Bryansk Oblast seek to step up cooperation in manufacturing

The business circles of Belarus and Bryansk Oblast are interested in expanding cooperation in the manufacturing industry. This matter was discussed at Commonwealth 2022, the forum of entrepreneurs of Bryansk Oblast and Belarusian regions, BelTA learned from the website of the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).

“Taking part in the event were heads of regional chambers of commerce and industry of Russia and the BelCCI branches, as well as more than 60 entrepreneurs and representatives of business associations. They studied the investment potential of the Russia-Belarus border regions, discussed cooperation in the manufacturing industry,” the BelCCI said.

Andrei Roznovsky, Deputy Director General for Foreign Economic Affairs of the Vitebsk branch of the BelCCI, presented the industrial potential of Orsha District of Vitebsk Oblast as a territory of advanced social and economic development. He pledged assistance in establishing contacts with businesses of the region.

“The speakers pointed to positive dynamics of integration processes and the importance of expanding Russia-Belarus industrial cooperation. The participants of the event shared information on systemic measures to support cooperation projects, discussed the state and prospects of trade and economic cooperation between Bryansk Oblast and Belarusian regions,” the Vitebsk branch of the BelCCI added.
