Belarus and Russia's Krasnodar Territory have a lot of joint projects in the manufacturing sector, Belarus' Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi told the media, BelTA has learned.

According to the ambassador, a lot of projects are implemented in the manufacturing industry. “Taking into account the potential of the region, there is a lot of groundwork in mechanical engineering. All our top brands have started working hard on joint projects. As part of the YUGAGRO exhibition and also meetings with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the parties discussed many projects, including those with MTZ. In Starominskaya we have launched a large-scale project to assemble most popular and in-demand tractor models. First of all, these are garden tractors, small universal vehicles, developed almost from scratch to meet the requirements of Krasnodar farmers. This model has been certified and is ready for use,” Dmitry Krutoi said.

Harvester assembling is another important project. “Krasnodar Territory is Russia's leader in agricultural production. Harvesters and related machinery are very much in demand. Gomselmash and the Kuban harvester factory in Ust-Labinsk are implementing a joint project to assemble harvesters and harvester-threshers,” he said.

MAZ also has several joint projects with Krasnodar Territory. “They may not be as large and ambitious as those of MTZ and Gomselmash. However, cooperative ties are gradually developing,” the ambassador said.

As BelTA reported earlier, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko has paid a working visit to Krasnodar. This was the first stop on the tour of the Belarusian government delegation around the Russian regions. During the working visit to Krasnodar, Roman Golovchenko met with Governor of Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratyev.
