Glazyev commented on some of the results of the HLG

A meeting of the High-level Group of the Council of Ministers of the Union State was held in Smolensk the day before. Sergey Glazyev took part in the meeting in his new status as the State Secretary of the SG.
Bearing in mind the important competence of Sergei Glazyev, a professional and experienced economist, co–chairman of the State Duma from the Belarusian side, Head of the Presidential Administration of Belarus Dmitry Krutoy said that work on the draft economic model of the Union State is currently in an active phase.
"With the appointment of Sergey Glazyev, State Secretary of the Union State, several new interesting ideas have emerged for the development of the integration association," Dmitry Krutoy noted, adding that a new list of innovative import-substituting projects will be formed in the near future.

Commenting on the results of the meeting held in Smolensk, SG State Secretary Sergey Glazyev spoke about important initiatives in transport logistics.
"The decisions regarding the reconstruction of the highway connecting our capitals and nearby regions are very important for everyone. This includes the preparation of a procedure for subsidizing inter-regional transportation, not only cross-border. We are talking about cross-border trips and communication between regions. We will continue to develop our network of inter-regional communications," Sergey Glazyev said.
Among the issues considered in Smolensk by the High-level Group of the Union Council of Ministers: increasing trade turnover, industrial cooperation, coordinated technological policy, scientific cooperation, the status of goods of the Union State, the introduction of electronic digital signatures, the construction of a high-speed railway, cooperation in the field of youth policy, etc.
