15:34, 29 May

Despite the claims of some in the West, Belarus and Russia are not alone - the global majority stands with us, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich said during a meeting with Secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council Sergei Shoigu in Moscow on 29 May, BelTA has learned.

The meeting took place as part of the International Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues held in Moscow on 27-29 May. Aleksandr Volfovich highlighted that delegations from over 120 countries gathered in the Russian capital. "This interest proves that Russia and Belarus, as strategic partners, are far from isolated, as some in the West believe. We are not in decline, burdened by sanctions. The Global South and Eastern countries, the global majority, show a high level of interest in our countries. They value our experience in economic development and national security, and that is truly significant," he emphasized.
