Lukashenko sends National Day greetings to Hungary

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Hungary President Janos Ader as the country celebrates St. Stephen's Day, BelTA learned from the Belarusian leader's press service.

The head of state believes that cooperation between Minsk and Budapest will be fruitfully developing for the benefit of both countries and peoples.

“Protection of traditional family values can be one of the promising avenues of cooperation. Taking into account Belarus' corresponding substantial experience, I express readiness to expand the dialogue in this field, including within the framework of international organizations,” the president stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko has also sent a message of greetings to Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary. “Recently our countries have had to withstand serious tests. However, I am convinced that we will have enough tenacity, wisdom and perseverance to overcome existing difficulties,” the message of greetings reads.

The head of state thanked Hungary for many-year support which was especially important in the difficult period. “I hope that the friendly relations between people, constructive dialogue between Minsk and Budapest will contribute to the development of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in various fields,” Aleksandr Lukashenko remarked.
