Aleksei Neverov said: “The Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia grows larger every year. Cooperation of the two brotherly nations in various spheres grows larger. I think the 10th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia will secure a record high number of signed contracts. The total sum is close to $1.5 billion. And it is just a preliminary figure. For three days Ufa, the capital city of Russia's Republic of Bashkortostan became a center of attraction of representatives of business circles of Belarus and Russia. The regions demonstrated their best projects and achievements during multiple expos. The miniature VDNH expo left no one unmoved. The exposition of Belarusian mechanical engineering industry products was truly impressive. The latest products from MAZ, BelAZ, MTZ, and Gomselmash were put on display. Many of the vehicles and machines are examples of successful manufacturing cooperation and import substitution. The most important thing is that the number of our machines and vehicles is growing in Russia, including in the most remote parts of the country.”
According to the senator, not only the economic side of the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia was impressive. The festival of national cultures Friendship Street was made up of farmsteads that stretched for 1.5km across Ufa. It brought together traditions of regions and won minds and hearts of the guests with the triumph of color, taste, and form. Belarusian arts and crafts such as woodcarving, straw weaving, and pottery were also presented during the festival. Ufa will not forget the largest round dance, which gathered over 3,000 people. It has been entered into Russia's book of records. “The forum is over. It is now necessary to implement the sketched-out plans and realize the agreements that have been reached,” Aleksei Neverov added.
