Wreath-laying ceremony to mark Belarus’ Independence Day held in Moscow

A wreath-laying ceremony was held at the Eternal Flame in Moscow on 1 July to mark Belarus’ Independence Day, the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia told BelTA.

“Ambassador [of Belarus to Russia] Aleksandr Rogozhnik and Belarusian diplomats in Russia laid a wreath and flowers at the Eternal Flame at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and at the memorial signs Minsk Hero City and Brest Hero Fortress in the Alexander Garden of the Kremlin to mark Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus,” the diplomatic mission noted.
 
Participating in the ceremony were also the leadership and staff of the Standing Committee of the Belarus-Russia Union State, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the CIS Executive Committee, Russian diplomats, and members of the Belarusian diaspora.
