Russia okay with Belarus' call for long-term planning of natural gas prices

The Russian side believes that Belarus' call for long-term planning of the price policy on the gas market is justified. Russian Economic Development Minister Maksim Reshetnikov made the statement at a session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in Moscow on 19 December, BelTA has learned.

Maksim Reshetnikov said: “The matter of long-term [prices on the natural gas market] is an issue. We admit Belarus' call for working out long-term plans, rules of the game is justified.”

A government hour took place during the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. It was dedicated to reviewing progress in executing Ordinance No.6 that the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia issued on 4 November 2021. The ordinance stipulates the main directions of realization of the Union State Foundation Treaty in 2021-2023.
