PM: Belarus, Iran see eye to eye on all economic matters

Belarus and Iran agree with each other on the entire spectrum of economic agenda, Belarus' Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said as he met with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, BelTA has learned.

Roman Golovchenko thanked the Iranian head of state for the opportunity to meet and for the warm welcome. “I am visiting Iran to fulfill the instructions of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko who, after meeting with you on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Samarkand, instructed the government of Belarus to take stock of Belarus-Iran cooperation and draft a new comprehensive plan to promote it,” the Belarusian prime minister said addressing Ebrahim Raisi.

According to the press service of the government, the official visit of Roman Golovchenko to Iran is over. During the visit, the Belarusian head of government took part in the Belarus-Iran business forum, visited a number of enterprises, and also participated in negotiations where cooperation agreements were signed. The prime minister of Belarus will also visit Damascus. On 24 November he will travel to Sochi, the Russian Federation, where he is set to meet with Krasnodar Territory Governor Veniamin Kondratiev.
