Belarus is becoming a serious player on the world agricultural market, Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Igor Brylo told the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube channel.

“The Republic of Belarus is becoming a serious player on the world agricultural market. It is no secret that we are among the leaders in dairy exports and among the top ten exporters of meat. Belarus is well known. Large-scale commodity manufacturing facilities are high-precision productions, which the Belarusian president always talks about. A negligent attitude at any stage will produce a bad result. That is why we, having good beacon enterprises, where the technology is honed from start to finish, demonstrate [this experience] to those who do not apply this technology to the full. The head of state is absolutely right when he says that we do not do something right,” said Igor Brylo.

He added: “I am not hiding anything, there are still such factors. Milk profitability with proper management can be 40-50%. But sometimes when you come to some region or farm, you think how you could have spoiled this or that technology. This is a very unpleasant factor. The president makes a focus on this. There should be a dictatorship of discipline and technology.”

The agriculture minister said this will have a positive effect on the workforce. “With the right attitude to work employees will get higher salaries. Everything should be done according to technology. Then there will be a result,” Igor Brylo said.
