First vice premier: Trade and economy play a key role in Union State sustainability

The trade and economic sector plays a crucial role in the sustainability of the Belarus-Russia Union State and the wellbeing of the two peoples, Belarusian First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov said as he met with Director General of the Russian Export Center Veronika Nikishina on 9 October, BelTA has learned.

“Today, the trade and economic sector plays a key role in the Belarus-Russia Union State construction, which determines the sustainability of the Union State and the wellbeing of our countries and peoples. We are grateful for your interest in expanding cooperation with Belarus on a wide range of issues,” Nikolai Snopkov said.

According to him, a thorough talk on practically all key aspects of bilateral cooperation took place with the head of state today. “I would like to assure you that the Government of Belarus will thoroughly consider both the current projects with the participation of your company and the promising areas to expand our cooperation in various sectors outlined today. I am sure that today's meeting will help us find a solution to many problematic issues and give an additional impetus to our cooperation. I hope that Belarusian exporters and heads of banks will feel the positive results of our meeting in the very near future,” the first deputy prime minister said.
