Belarusian-Russian common industrial policy discussed on Innoprom expo sidelines

Belarusian Industry Minister Aleksandr Rogozhnik met with Russian First Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Vasily Osmakov on the sidelines of the Russian industrial expo Innoprom 2023, BelTA has learned.

The officials discussed matters concerning the realization of the program of the Union State of Belarus and Russia on working out a common industrial policy.

The sides confirmed their commitment to further interaction and support for enterprises of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.

It was noted during the meeting that observance of interests of Belarusian and Russian industrial enterprises and further advancement of integration are of priority importance for the Belarusian Industry Ministry and the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry.

Results of the meeting are stipulated by the relevant protocol signed by the top officials of the ministries.

Belarusian First Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik and Belarusian Industry Minister Aleksandr Rogozhnik met with First Deputy Governor of Russia's Novosibirsk Oblast Yuri Petukhov in Yekaterinburg the same day.

The sides confirmed the positive dynamics of cooperation. Belarusian industrial enterprises maintain tight trade and economic relations with this region of Russia. Trolleybuses jointly made by Belarusian MAZ and the Ufa tram and trolleybus plant roam Novosibirsk streets. Over 100 trolleybuses will be shipped to the region by the end of the year. The Belarusian heavy truck manufacturer BelAZ will continue cooperation by shipping haul trucks. As many as 25 new haul trucks will be shipped to the region by the end of the year.
