Belarusian MTZ to sell about 500 tractors worth over $8m to Uzbekistan

Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) will ship about 500 MTZ tractors to the Uzbek company OOO Texagro-Klaster. The relevant contract was signed on the sidelines of the Belarus-Uzbekistan women's business forum. The sum of the deal exceeds $8 million, the Belarusian company's press service told BelTA.

MTZ Director General Vitaly Vovk noted that Uzbekistan has been a partner of MTZ for a long time. “It is particularly important for us that the contract on selling MTZ tractors was signed within the framework of such a major event as the Belarus-Uzbekistan women's business forum. I am convinced that the forum will give a new impulse to the advancement of mutually beneficial relations between Belarus and Uzbekistan,” the MTZ CEO said.

Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) is a major manufacturer of agricultural machines. Customers are offered over 100 tractor models in more than 200 modifications for all climatic and operational conditions. New models boast great capabilities with regard to the aggregation of agricultural machines of various manufacturers. MTZ designs, makes, and exports wheel tractors and spare parts, licenses their production abroad, organizes and offers aftersales service for sold vehicles, and offers to train personnel how to operate and maintain the vehicles the company makes.
