Belarus signs cooperation agreements with Russia's Tyva, Buryatia

Belarus signed agreements with two Russian regions on the sidelines of the 10th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in Ufa on 27 June, BelTA has learned.

Thus, an agreement on cooperation in trade, economy, science, technology, social and cultural matters was signed between the Belarusian government and the government of Tyva. The document was inked by Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Dmitry Krutoi and head of the Republic of Tyva Vladislav Khovalyg. An agreement on cooperation in trade, economy, science, technology, social and cultural affairs between the Belarusian government and the government of Buryatia was signed by the Belarusian ambassador and head of the Republic of Buryatia Alexei Tsydenov.

"A roadmap, a detailed plan of particular events for several years to come, is being worked out in furtherance of the agreements today", the press service noted.

"Updating the legal framework is one of the ambassador's urgent priorities. Some of the basic agreements were made long ago and do not comply with the requirements of the time," the diplomat added.
