Belarus, Russia to conclude agreement to open consulate general in Grodno

Belarus and Russia will conclude an agreement to open the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Grodno. The Council of Ministers' resolution No. 767 of 10 November 2022 has been officially published on the national legal internet portal, BelTA has learned.

According to the document, the Council of Ministers accepts the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, coordinated with the Justice Ministry and the Finance Ministry, to conclude, by exchanging notes, an agreement between the governments of Belarus and Russia to open the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Grodno and approves the text of Belarus' note.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is authorized to carry out the necessary procedures for concluding an agreement by exchanging notes.

The resolution shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
