Belarus, Russia sign agreement on inland navigation

An intergovernmental agreement on inland navigation has been signed by Deputy Transport and Communications Minister of Belarus Natalya Aleksandrovich and Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Alexander Poshivay, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry.

According to the ministry, the signing of the document is a significant step forward within the Union State and an important link in the development of new logistic schemes of delivery of Belarusian goods.

Earlier, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No.422, which approved a draft intergovernmental agreement between the two countries on inland navigation as the basis for negotiations.
