Belarus, Russia's Altai to deepen cooperation in trade, education, science, culture

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection has played host to a meeting of the working group on cooperation between Belarus and the Altai Republic, Russia, BelTA learned from the press service of the ministry.

The event was co-chaired by Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Andrei Khudyk and Head of the Altai Republic Oleg Khorokhordin. The parties discussed a wide range of issues on implementation of the agreement between the government of Belarus and the government of Altai on cooperation in trade and economy, science and technology and the social and cultural sector. The leaders of the Belarusian and Russian delegations noted the need for further expansion of bilateral relations across the full range of social, economic and humanitarian relations. The parties also drew attention to the importance of deepening cooperation in trade, education, science, culture and tourism. During an active discussion the parties identified the points of growth and areas with considerable development potential.

To ensure the implementation of the reached agreements, Andrei Khudyk and Oleg Khorokhordin signed a cooperation plan for 2023-2025 to implement the agreement which provides specific mechanisms for the intensification of bilateral relations.
