Belarus' gold, forex reserves up 2.7% to $8.142bn in January 2023

According to the preliminary data, Belarus' international reserve assets totaled the equivalent of $8,142.8 million as of 1 February 2023, BelTA learned from the Information and Public Relations Office of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus.

The country's gold and foreign currency reserves went up by $213.3 million (up 2.7%) in January 2023 after rising by $131.8 million (up 1.6%) in December 2022.

The central bank said: “As from August 2022 information about the volume of the international reserve assets will be published on the official website of the National Bank without breaking down their structure and without mentioning the factors that influenced their change.”
