Belarus' gold, forex reserves 1.6% up to $7.929bn in December 2022

According to the preliminary data, Belarus' international reserve assets totaled the equivalent of $7,929.5 million as of 1 January 2023, BelTA learned from the Information and Public Relations Office of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus.

The country's gold and foreign currency reserves went up by $131.8 million (1.6% up) in December after rising by $207.9 million (2.7% up) in November.

The central bank reminded: “As from August 2022 information about the volume of the international reserve assets is published on the official website of the National Bank without breaking down their structure and without mentioning the factors that influenced their change.”
