Belarus' Finance Ministry urged to focus on efficient public finance management

The Finance Ministry should focus on improving the efficiency of public finance management, Belarus' Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said as he presented new Finance Minister Yuri Seliverstov to the personnel on 5 June, website of the Belarusian government reported.

According to Roman Golovchenko, the situation in the economy today requires accurate and verified decisions. In the focus is a balanced budget system and rational spending of the budget. All social guarantees should be implemented in full.

The prime minister thanked Maksim Yermolovich for his work as minister, his responsible attitude towards the entrusted mission, professionalism and good governance.

The government expects from the Finance Ministry and its new head that the efficient work in these areas will be continued. “The Finance Ministry is one of the key government bodies and should be the flagship of the state policy in many issues,” Roman Golovchenko stressed.
