Belarus' farm exports amounted to $8.3 billion in 2022, Belarusian Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Vadim Shagoiko said at a press conference "Belarusian agricultural export in 2022, prospects for 2023", BelTA has learned.

"In 2022, the export of Belarusian agricultural products hit a record high of $ 8.3 billion, up by a quarter over 2021. The share of exports of agricultural raw materials and products exceeded 20% in the country's total exports," Vadim Shagoiko said.

According to him, Belarusian products are exported to more than 100 countries. Russia remains the main strategic partner of Belarus accounting for about 70% of Belarusian products.

"Work is underway to expand the geography of supplies, and the range of products. We have branched out into the markets of Asian countries. We pay much attention to the Chinese market, which is quite promising for us. We are exploring the African countries, studying taste preferences of this region and suppling trial batches there," Vadim Shagoiko said .
