The Belarusian leader's message of congratulations noted that Eid al-Fitr is one of the most revered holidays, symbolizing spiritual purity, the preservation of traditions, continuity, and the continuity of generations. "These priorities serve as the foundation of peace and harmony, and are equally close and understandable to people of different faiths," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.
The head of state noted that Muslims in Belarus are deservedly respected for their adherence to strict moral values, maintaining an atmosphere of religious tolerance and openness, strengthening family traditions, and cherishing the rich spiritual heritage of their ancestors. The president wished the believers good health, happiness, joy, and prosperity.
In turn, in his congratulatory telegram, Vladimir Putin noted the creative contribution of Muslim organizations in Russia to strengthening the institution of the family, educating youth, and developing constructive dialogue with government and public institutions.
"Russian Muslims deeply respect the historical and spiritual traditions of their ancestors and celebrate this holiday widely within their communities and families. It has become a good custom to hold large-scale charitable, cultural, educational, and children's events during the holy month," the Russian leader noted.
