Pertsov: Belarusian-Russian co-operation in book publishing has reached a “native level”

Today, Secretary of State Union Dmitry Mezentsev presented new volumes of the large-scale historical and educational project ‘The Library of the Union State’ dedicated to amazing people, national enlighteners and significant events within the framework of the XXXII Minsk International Book Fair. At the book forum in Minsk, the books are exhibited at a separate stand of the Standing Committee of the Union State. Vladimir Pertsov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, emphasised the considerable attention that the Union State and State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev pay to book publishing.

According to Vladimir Pertsov, the presented editions are the best proof of this support. He also noted that in difficult times, when representatives of other states refused to participate in the Minsk Book Fair, the Union State remained a reliable partner of Belarus.
“In the most difficult times we remained shoulder to shoulder, as real, non-paper partners ”, – Vladimir Pertsov emphasised.
He recalled the agreement between the relevant ministries of Belarus and Russia to participate as guests of honour at each other's book exhibitions. This contributed to the strengthening of relations between book publishers and writers of the two countries.
Vladimir Pertsov emphasised that the best joint projects dedicated to common history and achievements are reflected in the beautiful editions presented at the exhibition.
He expressed gratitude for the participation, brotherly shoulder and support of the Minsk International Book Fair, and personally thanked Lyudmila Fyodorovna for her work to popularise the printed book.
