Mezentsev on the Union budget: we will start the new year with a fundamental financial document

"President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has agreed on the budget of the Union State for 2024, and Chairman of the Supreme State Council, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree approving the Union budget. It is significant that we will start the new year with a fundamental financial document, which means that the financing of the Union programs for next year will begin on time," the State Secretary of the Union State noted.

Dmitry Mezentsev assured that the Standing Committee will ensure the implementation of the Union budget in full and considers this an absolute priority for itself.

"The contribution of Belarus and Russia to the Union budget has been increased by 38% for the first time, which will ensure an expansion of the number of programs, projects and activities of the Union State. It is important that next year their number will not only expand - in the field of high technologies, defense and security, the number of cultural, humanitarian, educational and civil-patriotic events has been increased by almost a third," - The Secretary of State of the Union State stressed.

He called the main financial document of the Union State a response to the people's request, in support of the parties' position on expanding the scale of economic integration, strengthening interregional and inter-parliamentary cooperation.
