Dmitry Mezentsev thanked the participants of the forum for their participation and readiness to discuss the common history of the Belarusian and Russian peoples and the solidarity between the two countries, especially in recent years. “We interact with our colleagues and see how the discussion about a new stage of economic integration between Belarus and Russia is proceeding. It was heralded at a meeting of the Supreme State Council held by Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and President of Russia Vladimir Putin on 4 November 2021,” he said.
According to Dmitry Mezentsev, under the leadership of the prime ministers of Belarus and Russia, Roman Golovchenko and Mikhail Mishustin, 28 Union State programs have been drafted and approved. “Experts are paying much attention to this fact. And even those who are not very friendly to us say that this is a milestone in our interaction. Therefore, the topic of our today's meeting is titled “The Union State: Economic Integration - Development Tasks”. The discussion will focus on integration and the most advanced areas of our cooperation,” Dmitry Mezentsev stressed.
