Belarus secures seven medals at Russian Speed Skating Cup second leg

Belarusian athletes took part in the second leg of the Russian Speed Skating Cup that finished in St. Petersburg on 19 November, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Sports and Tourism Ministry.

The Belarusian national team collected three gold, two silver and two bronze medals. Hanna Damaratskaya won the women's 500m, while Ekaterina Sloeva finished third. Ignat Golovatsiuk was victorious in the men's 500m. Hanna Damaratskaya placed second in the women's 1,000m. Yahor Damaratski secured gold in the men's 5,000m. The men's team sprint silver went to Ilia Petrov, Uladzislau Hapon and Viktar Rudenka. The Belarusian team of Kristsina Burmistrova, Hanna Damaratskaya and Polina Korzhuyeva collected bronze in the women's team sprint.

Belarusian skaters brought seven medals from the first leg of the Russian Speed Skating Cup which took place in Kolomna in early November.
