According to the organizer, the Festival has acquired a particularly large-scale character this year. More than 170 organizations from different countries will take part in it. In addition to the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, a significant platform has been prepared by the Ministry of Education, which has brought together educational institutions, clubs and scientific centers from all over the country. In the format of a "scientific lounge", everyone will be able to communicate with scientists in an informal setting and learn about the details of their work.
The Festival program promises to be rich. Guests will be treated to scientific films, master classes, a show program and an exhibition of the latest developments. The organizers paid special attention to the interactive aspect.
"The laboratory platform was created to surprise and interest people, so that they could touch science with their hands. There will be experiments that are not shown at school," Zaitsev noted.
One of the key topics of the festival will be space. Special guests will be cosmonauts Oleg Novitsky and Marina Vasilevskaya, who will answer questions from the public. In addition, Belarusian researchers will talk about how meteorites are searched for in the country, using the example of a recent find in Smolevichi.
The Festival will also feature platforms dedicated to ecology, robotics, artificial intelligence and modern technologies. The Russian guest, Rosatom, has traditionally prepared its own program. The famous popularizer of science Alexey Semikhatov will give a lecture on the quantum world.
"It is important for us that both adults and children understand science a little more. We try to explain everything complex in simple language," emphasized Alexander Zaitsev.
