Belarus issues registration certificate for Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine

The Healthcare Ministry of Belarus has issued a registration certificate for the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine. The vaccine was developed and produced by the Gamaleya National Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry.

Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich noted that by agreement of the presidents of Belarus and Russia, Belarus became the first country to take part in the clinical trials of the Sputnik V vaccine. “We can officially confirm that according to the available data the vaccine is safe and effective, no serious or unexpected side effects have been revealed,” he said.

The Healthcare Ministry issued a registration certificate for the Sputnik V vaccine. This certificate allows the sale and medical use of the vaccine in Belarus.
