Two twinning agreements were signed in Moscow: the Volovsky district of the Lipetsk region has signed an agreement with the Lioznensky district of the Vitebsk region, the Lipetsk district with the Berezovsky district of the Brest region, BelTA reports. The Governor of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov, said that the Russian region also plans to expand cooperation with Belarus in the field of housing and road construction.

The Lipetsk region is interested in purchasing different types of Belarusian machinery, cooperation with Belarus in the field of housing and road construction. The press service of the administration of the Russian region told the Governor of the Lipetsk region Igor Artamonov discussed with the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Belarus Yury Selivestor promising directions of trade and economic partnership as part of the Lipetsk region Day at the exhibition “Russia” at VDNKh in Moscow. Lipetsk residents show interest in purchasing of bus and snow removal equipment of the Belarusian production and housing and road construction.

“The Republic of Belarus for many years is included in the top-10 main trade and economic partners of the Lipetsk region and is the leading trade partner among CIS countries. Any achievements are on the basis of friendly relations and cultural exchange, so we are interested in strengthening the tied between Lipetsk residents and Belarusians”, - told Igor Artamonov.
